We humans pride ourself on the string of consistent behaviors, thoughts and belief systems that form what we call our persona/psyche/ego. The issue for me is not that we humans have personalities but how determinedly fixed we are in keeping ourselves so identified with this tiny slice of reality of who we think we are when we are beings so much more magnificent and wondrous. We are so much more than the labels we block our psyches in with.
Humans don't even realize and consider their ability to take on many roles and/or personae in being fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, grandmothers, grandfathers, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, confidantes, neighbors, community organizers, job roles and so much more and all at the same time. We are truly unlimited beings who have a penchant for narrowly confining and defining who we are. We are so much more than our small personas.
Not only are we able to play multiple roles, we are also multidimensional. We humans have the ability to be in the consciousness of money and security while simultaneously being creative, exerting willpower, having heart, speaking our truth, having vision and practicing religion or mystical paths.
The human being is an awesome and amazing being who seems so fearful of confronting its self-imposed victimhood. What is the antidote for this misunderstanding of who we really are? In my opinion, we must return our power to ourselves in being extremely flexible beings who do not fear change. We must release our murderous sense of self-importance and personal history so that we can move forward in being more of who we really are: spiritual beings having a human experience where we live in joy of that experience not allowing it to totally define who we are.
We are human, yes but our true essence is Spirit and that is NOT definable. You are much more than you think yourself to be beyond the role you play as your persona/psyche/ego.
