I have found that not many people understand that the conscious mind and subconscious minds are on opposite sides of the SAME coin. What do I mean by this? What I mean by this is that the descriptors given to these two aspects of the mind are only for analytical reasons and that these two aspects of the mind have no real wall or separation between them. For example, when we are under hypnosis, we are accessing the subconscious mind but when we “wake up” from hypnosis, it is our conscious minds that connect the dots of what our subconscious mind had “told” us during hypnosis. We can also access the subconscious mind during meditation where we go into a deeper state of relaxation and allow our subconscious mind to come to the fore. See what I mean? Why is this important?
This is important because there seems to be a lot of mystery surrounding the subconscious mind as if it is some weird thing we have inside us or that it is hard to access. This is not true at all. I discovered the door to my subconscious when I started using affirmations about 30 years ago. I was in Radio Media Sales and I discovered that using positive affirmations helped me to change my limiting beliefs of myself. What I discovered by using affirmations was that I was really talking to my subconscious mind and it was that part of me that I needed to change for the better if I wanted to have ultimate success. Another modality I used to reach my subconscious mind was subliminal tapes. These were specially produced tapes where I could not consciously hear the affirmations since they were below my conscious hearing of them but they were reaching my subconscious mind and they did change my limiting beliefs.
What I am saying here is that you don’t have to live with your limiting beliefs and you can use tools that are safe and effective to reach your subconscious mind and create the life of your dreams, create your desires that they may manifest a life of prosperity, peace, happiness, balance, abundance, harmony and health as I did.
Don’t be afraid of your subconscious mind and don’t think of it as some mysterious inner sanctum of your mind. It is an aspect of you just like your conscious, awake mind that is reachable right here, right now and is simply on the opposite side of the same coin of that which is your MIND.
May I suggest you resolve to delve into your subconscious mind with the help of a hypnotherapist or guided meditation if you need it and cleanse it of the limiting beliefs that have been with you for a long time and that you need to close out just like you sign out of a program on the internet. Stop allowing your subconscious mind’s limiting beliefs to control you without you knowing that it’s doing just that. In my experience, that’s no way to live.
