Blame Is Lame

The art of blaming others for our faults is a very refined human practice, I have found from my own life experiences. From my perception, blaming others is the ultimate practice of not accepting responsibility for one’s own actions and looking outside oneself, that is, to another, for the source of the problem, for a place, other than ourselves, to put the refusal to accept the consequences of one’s own actions.

This has been going on since time immemorial. Before the Jews, the Irish, the Italians, the Blacks, the President, Congress, Hitler were blamed for everything, it was __________________, just fill in the blank. Before whoever you fill the blank with, it was __________________,  fill in another blank and on and on, ad infinitum.

So what is blame, really? Blame is a perennial defense mechanism humans use in order to shift responsibility for one’s mistakes on to someone else thus making one feel better because one has dodged the bullit of responsibility. I didn’t do it!!! Maybe the devil did it? Could it be God who is responsible? “The crops failed!!! Oh, it was God, he’s mad at us!” This is the type of thinking still going on with humans on Earth and it is the very height of powerless consciousness, meaning that I, the human being, am powerless to create any kind of reality in my life and it is the doing of my dog, the weather, my parents, my spouse, my children, my government, my society that has me in these dire circumstances. Baloney!!!!!!

Each human, from my own experience of being human and seeing the behavior of other humans, is
responsible for their OWN actions, is responsible for the consequences of their own actions and to be whole and balanced must accept the consequences of their actions with grace no matter if the consequences are so-called good or bad or indifferent. By accepting responsiblility for one’s actions, you enter into the reality of creating a life by design. Yes, your life is your making. Whatever your situation, you created it whether you want to accept that or not.

In my perception, blame is lame. It takes the power of my intent and my free will away from me and gives it to another. Why in the world would I give my power up to another? Yet, most humans on the Earth are doing just that as I write this.

Take back your power by accepting responsibility for your actions. Nothing makes you do anything unless YOU allow it. Period.
