What's it like to be in connection with loved ones who have died? Do you have to be a psychic medium?
First of all, from my experience, every human has the capacity to be in contact with the souls of loved ones who have passed away. We all have the ability to be "psychic mediums" because every human has a sixth sense, an intuitive ability. The problem in our culture is that we as a people have made talking with the dead a scary, ghostly, horrific, negative experience when it's not like that at all.
When someone dies, they remain intact except for their sensate bodies which are left behind just like a snake leaves its skin behind when it sheds it. We humans have multiple bodies including an emotional, mental, Spiritual, causal and other bodies. As a matter of fact, humans are multidimensional and when we shed our physical body, we are still conscious and are vibrating in a higher dimension. This is why and how there is communication between the living and the dead.
What are some of the ways that the dead communicate? From my experience with deceased loved ones, the speak in a variety of ways. They will whisper to you claireaudiently, you will hear their voice, you will smell their favorite fragrance, they will project mental images of themselves into your mind, usually images of how you knew them in their most recent life with you, they will talk to you through automatic writing and they will come into your dreams. These are a few of the ways that souls are able to communicate among others. The issue is you have to be open to listening. Most people are closed to this because they have been conditioned to be afraid as if this is a scary proposition. It's not scary at all.
Talking with the departed is normal and an ability all humans have. Again, our culture has closed us down from being available to this. Your deceased loved ones want to talk with you. They haven't gone anywhere and they are not dead. I do it all the time and I am not mentally ill. I have just allowed my psychic abilities to come to the fore. I listen. I have learned so much. So can you!
